A daughter of the priest of Midian who came with her sisters to water their father's flock, when an Egyptian drove the shepherds away; given to Moses to wife; bore Gershom and Eliezer; on the way to Egypt she took a sharp stone and circumcised her son; brought by Jethro to Moses at the mount of God.
Counted from Scripture: Married to Moses after he fled to Midian at forty (c. 1486 BC); brought to him at the mount of God in the year of the Exodus. Scripture does not give her age.
